Netflix Talent Map completes Hatay stop

Ana sayfa / News

Netflix, aiming to introduce young talent to the industry in Turkey, has chosen Hatay as the new destination for its popular project, the Turkey Talent Map. This important initiative, which reaches young people in various Anatolian cities, offers a unique opportunity to film and television students in the region with the Netflix Talent Map Hatay event.

Following cities such as Ankara, Çanakkale, Konya, Manisa, and Mardin, the project has now joined forces with the Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema. The “A to Z Directing Training” event, held at The Museum Hotel Antakya on October 11–12, 2025, was met with great enthusiasm by young professionals and students.

Participants gained valuable insights from industry veterans during this intensive two-day program. The training covered all stages of the directing process, including content development, production planning, directing, and set management. Young people also had the opportunity to speak directly with executives from the Netflix Turkey team and ask their questions. Most importantly, the event was enlivened by a special concert by the Antakya Civilizations Choir.

Netflix Turkey Content Director Özge Bağdatlıoğlu stated that the event held special significance for them. Recalling their efforts to support children in the region through the arts following the February 6th earthquakes, Bağdatlıoğlu said, “Being in Hatay again today with the Turkey Talent Map and this time meeting with young people is incredibly valuable to us.” She also emphasized that the center of the creative sector isn’t just Istanbul; there are brilliant young people in every corner of Anatolia. Bağdatlıoğlu expressed her belief that these young people will be their future dream partners and colleagues.
